Climate change: Perspective from Agricultural Sciences

Join us as we welcome Fiama Guevara Guillén, from the Department of Plant Pathology - The Ohio State University and Nelly Arguello, from the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science - The Ohio State University on Climate change: Perspective from Agricultural Sciences:

Even wondered if the nice weather you enjoy in wintertime influences food production?

Some staple crops need the cold winters to produce food, some pests become more problematic when winters are warm!!!

Please attend a presentation on how the agricultural sciences play a key role in fighting climate change by developing strategies that help both reduce farming’s environmental impact and adapt to changing weather patterns. Scientists are creating crops that are more resistant to drought, heat, and floods, ensuring that food production can continue even as conditions become more extreme.
