The Science of Climate Change and Its Impact on Mental Health

Join us as we welcome Susan Clayton and Dan Herms on The Science of Climate Change and Its Impact on Mental Health: Climate change is increasing the severity of storms, heat waves, flooding, drought, and wildfire. As the climate continues to warm these impacts are projected to intensify, which is increasing people’s experience of worry and “climate anxiety”. This presentation will provide an overview of climate change impacts on both natural systems and mental health, projections for the future, the psychology of climate anxiety, and (some) reason for optimism.
